Bonding and Tooth-Colored Fillings

Instantly Improve Your Smile

For teeth that are slightly crooked or if time is a big issue, ·bonding· may be a great choice for you. ·Bonding· is done with a tooth colored filling material or composite resin. It is layered over the teeth and then sculpted to match the shape and contour of your teeth. It comes in many shades so we can match any tooth. It is then ·cured· with a laser so it turns hard instantly. It has many advantages. The main one is that it can be done in one appointment. So if we don·t have much time before you have to have a great smile, this is the way to go. It is also less expensive than ·porcelain veneers·. There is a down side to ·bonding· though. They will tend to be high maintenance. They can lose their shine and ·wet look· very quickly and will need to be touched up often. Expect them to last for about 5 years before they need a little help to look great again.

For cavities in your back teeth, ·tooth colored· fillings are way to go. They are bond3ed to the teeth and match the color so they disappear in your smile. Even though your teeth are in the back of your mouth, particular lower teeth, they do show when you laugh or open your mouth real wide. This is where tooth colored fillings are at their best
